A - HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY VANESSA!

For my friend Vanessa's Birthday, I decided to try out a photo project idea that I've had for a while. The basic idea is that I called up / e-mailed all of Vanessa's friends that I knew and a few that I didn't and got them to cooperate in this photo project. Each person got to choose a letter or number from the words HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY VANESSA! and take a picture with that letter. I then printed all the photos and pasted them to little boards and had the people in the picture write a message on the back. All of these boards were later bound into a book and given to Vanessa on her birthday... If you think this is hard to understand try explaining it in Japanese about 20 times ;D

Vanessa and I originally met Eric through work, and later met Steve through Eric. Now Steve and Eric are our local Saturday night drinking buddies. Without fail, every Saturday one of both of them can be found out on the town on Saturday night entertaining bar patrons with their bickering, magic tricks and entertaining conversations. It's hard to find someone who doesn't know these two in Yokkaichi. Some local restaurants even have special menus that cater to the preferences of these two. You just have to know to ask for certain items using their names, and you can get a whole different world of food. After much bickering, I got these two to write a (rather creative) A and take a picture together. The together part created even more bickering. But at long last, here we are! Eric and Steve!
