The before...

I can't remember who's blog I got this idea from (someone who posted a photo of a woman with a lollipop....) but I am going to try out a before and after.

Probably because I don't have the patience needed to be a really good photographer I spend a lot of time editing in lightroom what I wasn't willing to wait for / do on location.

Here is one example. We've just arrived in our hotel after a flight from Japan and Vanessa Liz and I throw our stuff on the beds and then I proceed to take pictures of the ensuing jump-a-thon. (F.Y.I. hotel bed jump-a-thons are an ancient practice dating back to roman times in which one would jump on an unfamiliar bed to squash any possible vermin or snakes living inside. Also possibly descendant from a Native American ritual to call forth the gods of a good night's sleep)

Now I knew right away that the bags and jackets would ruin the photo, but being the bad photographer I am I decided not to take said items off the bed and ask for Jump-a-thon the sequel to take place. So what am I to do? Throw out the photo as a miss? No! I lightroom it ;D
