ChopsticksPosted by Nicole (Komono, Japan) on 1 June 2008 in Art & Design and Portfolio. I'm in Ise-shima this weekend so I dug out a photo from Ise from a while back. There's this little street leading up to the main shrine in Ise that is one of my absolute favorite places in Japan. I love old architecture and shopping or window shopping for things that are uniquely Japanese and this street has exactly that. Old styles shops selling things like handmade chopsticks made before your eyes and just about everything else you don't really need but want oh so much! For anyone traveling in Japan - or hopefuls here is the link to the place I am talking about. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4302.html I highly recommend going during the lucky cat festival. Prints are now available for purchase!! I am in the process of uploading photos to the above site to be available for purchase. If there is any specific image that you would like to become available, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for stopping by!
