Paper Prayers

If you haven't read the story of Sadoko and the Thousand paper cranes yet, take a minute out of your day to look it up. I have to say that the way that paper cranes are strung always makes for a great photo. Before I go to Hiroshima I want to make a thousand to drop off at the peace memorial.

I picked up the habit of making paper cranes in High School, and have now made it my signature when I go to restaurants. I am a fidgety person by nature, and so while I wait for my food, I am easily occupied with folding cranes out of the paper wrappers that come with your chopsticks. It's actually a nice conversation starter for getting to know the restaurant owners and other people sitting nearby in the restaurant.

Thanks for stopping by! I absolutely <3 comments so if you have a moment let me know what you think!

Thanks,
