Me with face paint

Posted by Nicole (Komono, Japan) on 22 October 2007 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

So, this past weekend was the Komono marathon. We took advantage of the big gathering of people and set up a facepainting booth to raise money for our eminent trip to India. Basically for 2 bucks, you could get your / your kid's face painted. Of course in order to show samples of what we could do, we all had our faces decked out for the event.

You can see the smiley face on the one side here. On the other side was my previous nickname - nikoniko chan. ニコニコ (nikoniko) is supposed to represent the sound that one makes when one's smile sparkles. Go figure.

I was asked the other day what my nicknames were in America. I had a hard time explaining how I ended up being nicknamed screamer, dudette, and Bob and how my parents happened to be nicknamed dude and momacita.

But yeah, more pictures to come fo the face-painting. This one is just there to prove that I'm still alive and kicking. (Though perhaps napping a little more that I used to)

Prints are now available for purchase!!
